Harold D. Cooklin was born in Peru. As one of 6 children of an international family, he grew up in Peru, Italy and Mexico and speaks English, Spanish and Italian fluently.


Harold studied at the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina in Lima, Peru, where in 1987 he graduated first in his class, and one of the highest grade point averages ever in the history of the university, with a degree in Food Engineering, specializing in seafood products. After graduation he worked for 2 years in Paita, Peru for a company producing tuna, sardines, fish meal, surimi, fish blocks, IQF, and other fish products. He then moved to Mexico to work for Star Kist, who was developing the tuna loin business there. After less than a year, he was transferred to Venezuela where he worked another year before starting his career with Tri Marine in 1992.


Since joining Tri Marine he has had responsibility for transshipment operations, been technical advisor in tuna factories, been in quality control, managed Tri Marine's representative office in Bangkok, and currently is assistant General Manager of Tri Marine International, S.A. in Panama.


Harold is married and has 2 children.
